We're looking for a QA Lead who can balance strong hands-on testing expertise with team leadership. You'll be responsible for driving quality across both manual and automated testing efforts, managing a team of QA engineers, and ensuring releases meet a high bar for reliability before they reach production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of QA engineers — assign work, review test coverage, and ensure timely, quality delivery

• Own the test strategy for assigned projects, covering both manual and automated testing

• Design, review, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing

• Plan and execute manual testing for areas where automation isn't feasible or cost-effective, including exploratory and edge-case testing

• Define test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product and engineering teams

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery

• Track and report quality metrics — defect trends, test coverage, release readiness — to engineering and product stakeholders

• Manage defect triage, prioritization, and closure, and drive root cause analysis on recurring issues

• Mentor QA engineers on both manual testing discipline and automation best practices

• Ensure test documentation and evidence are consistently maintained to support audit and compliance needs

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software QA/Testing, with at least 2+ years leading or handling a QA team

• Strong, demonstrated experience in both manual and automated testing — not automation-only or manual-only background

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Rest Assured, or equivalent)

• Solid understanding of API testing and its automation

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)

• Strong grasp of SDLC/Agile practices and QA's role within them

• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar)

• Strong communication and people-management skills, with experience conducting reviews, mentoring, and prioritizing team workload

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 compliance requirements, particularly around test documentation, traceability, and audit evidence, is a strong plus

• Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Gatling)

• Familiarity with testing in containerized or cloud-native (Kubernetes) environments

• Experience setting up quality gates within CI/CD pipelines
